All About Our Reusable Face Masks.

Cloth Face Masks have been a fairly new item for LA Linen and our response to the COVID-19 pandemic. In February of 2020, when we heard about a new virus threatening the United States, we started shopping for PPE [Personal Protection Equipment] for our staff.

Going back to school will look and feel very different this year. Some communities will not be going anywhere, at-home learning will be the necessary method for educating our children. But for those of us that will be sending kids back to schools, we'll need to send them with additional school gear. Masks will be necessary. 

There is so much conflicting information out there. We get it and understand completely that it's hard to know what to choose. We also get asked often about our choice to use fabric that is a polyester/cotton blend in our masks. 

We were recently asked why we don't use 100% cotton for our masks.

Oregon has been seeing jumps in COVID-19 cases and now has extended the face coverings requirement statewide.

"Oregonians statewide will be required to wear face coverings in indoor public spaces, beginning this Wednesday, July 1. The guidance applies to businesses and members of the public visiting indoor public spaces. Face covering requirements are already mandated in eight counties."

Today, Kansas was added to the growing list of states that are now requiring face masks to be worn in public spaces. The Executive Order will go into effect on July 3, 2020.

“This is a simple, proactive step we can take to keep Kansans at work, get our kids back to school, and keep ourselves and our neighbors healthy,” Governor Kelly said. “Wearing a mask is not only safe – but it is necessary to avoid another shut down.

First, I’d like to start by thanking all of our customers who have not only trusted us to produce very high-quality masks during this very difficult time but have also offered us feedback. We’ve also been wearing our masks and as usual, are working to make improvements at every opportunity. Our goal with all of the products we manufacture is to produce the highest quality products we can at the most cost-effective prices for our customers, here in the United States.
