Rhea U Layumas joined our company as a bookkeeper on May 14, 2013, and she became so much more to us all and touched the lives of so many of us who got to know her.
The day she walked in for her first job interview, after greetings and as she was walking to the room with me, she turned to me with the biggest smile and said “... is there a height requirement for this job…”.
As I cracked up laughing I knew this is the person I would like to work with.
She joined us the following day, and showed that the greatest things do come in small packages.
She cared for everyone, and handled every task she took on with competent, honor.
She always had a big and contagious smile on her face.
Rhea, was diagnosed with 2nd stage breast cancer in Dec of 2021, and after a 10 month battle, she passed away at her home on Oct 14, 2022.
Rhea was the youngest of 4 kids, leaving behind 3 brothers, and many family and friends.
During the entire time with our company she was a rock to me and the organization.
Although she left us too early, I am glad to have had the chance to get to know her, and we all will cherish the many great memories we shared with her.
She will always remain in our hearts and minds.
